The sound captured in this track is an ambient drone that was present in the background of a lengthy phone call with the Social Security Administration of Illinois on Thursday, May 14th, 2020 during the global coronavirus pandemic.

The sound was on the other end of the telephone, which was placed on its back on speaker mode in our kitchen. It has been manipulated slightly for creative purposes. This track is dedicated to those who are put on hold and who patiently wait.

Black Wings Flying Over is an electroacoustic sound collage mostly consisting of field recordings and rudimentary improvised electronic passages. It is segmented into tracks to empower the listener on their illustratory journey from the precipice of dance music to reserved spaces of ambiance and voyeurism. Household noises and strange voices combine in a haze of warm unease which slowly degenerates into a tunnel of twee harsh noise and swirling power electronics.
