1.
In the kitchen there is a knife Probably should go hungry tonight
I know where it's kept I know where it's kept I saw red lines hide so quietly
 within the surface of
your skin like leaves pressed so patiently
 between the pages of
a book you found in hell.
 I realize I’m unwell.
Open your wrists in the river
and your blood migrates from you
like a cosmic murmuration -
 there’s no design in this,
 slowly erode.
2.
There are dead
 still left to bury
out there in the field
 Beneath a rotting
 moon, a whisper of mist
 from the nostrils of wolves

I can see one shuffle as it limps
its body upward in the uncertain
light of the night from my place on the road
I have this final bullet left to load.

 I won’t turn away
I will watch it as it comes
so slowly here towards me
 at long last
I open my arms
and I mark this the place
where I met it, here, myself
 There is no one else.

 There, a highway
with the smell of burning flesh,
the sound of pounding drums
A car raced forward screaming towards eternity A boy raced forward
 screaming towards eternity
 There, towards, to war

. A field of grass,
 and a frightened doe
who through the leaves and smoke,
it watched as I
 knelt and lowered my hand
silent, final, and pure and towards a lake of fire, with a touch of my finger the surface suddenly,
it turned itself to ice. There are dead still left to bury.
3.
Realize the world
 does not revolve,
 constantly dedicate
itself to you.

 People have lives
so far removed
from all the bullshit
inside of you.

 Beat the dead horse
to a pulp,
harvest the glue,
 weaponize

and I will watch the light
 leave your eyes,
 falling out of love
in disguise.
4.
I wonder if I walked into the way of a car I would soar for a distance

like a wild fist in the air or roll over the hood spinning and flailing, cracking the windshield in the process,
hammering my skull into the pavement.

I hope that I would have time to realize what was happening but then be without pain once it was all over.

Most of all I hope that when they pull me up from the cement that the glass and dirt in my hair would look like stardust in the sun.
5.
Selfishly I wished
on every eyelash and as they
 danced there
from off your finger

I broke every promise I’m crushed under the weight
With every mistake A matador, a bull

shit take you pass
 as empath’s gospel
It’d be great
 to just stop,
 this isn’t normal

I just play the victim
I’m crushed under the weight
 as I hesitate
 We knew we’d have trouble
I swear I’ll fix it Just let me fix it Neon that reads alteration Sugar from a pixie stick
And wiping my chin in the moonlight
I think I’m gonna be sick
